January 1973, Fantastic Four #130, Page #14, John Buscema pencils/Joe Sinnott inks, “Battleground: The Baxter Building”, Appearance: Frightful Four (Thunda, Sandman, Wizard, Trapster), Appearance: Medusa of the Inhumans. This issue is the 2nd Appearance of THUNDA. This was the sixth issue of Fantastic Four I ever read off the stand back in 1973. It was an incredible storyline written by Roy Thomas, with the Frightful Four, led by Thunda, fighting the Fantastic Four. The Inhumans guest star in this issue. Sue Storm quits the Fantastic Four team in this issue. Pure Nostalgia. The Frightful Four have just defeated the Thing and Medusa with the help of their newest member Thunda. As the male members gloat over their victory, Thunda begins to feel pity for the Thing. This irks the Sandman, who recalls this sort of sympathy from Medusa before she betrayed their team, and he tries to toss the Thing high in the air so he suffers a fatal fall. Not wishing to see her foe killed, Thunda leaps in and saves Ben's life, then violently jostles the Sandman, warning him from using lethal force against a "defenseless man" again. The Wizard takes control of the situation, reminding them that they need to focus their attention on the Baxter Building and the downfall of the rest of the Fantastic Four.
