July 1972, Fantastic Four #124, Page #9 Splash, John Buscema pencils/Joe Sinnott inks, “The Return of the Monster”, A classic splash from the two-part storyline of the Monster from the Lost Lagoon featuring the Monster holding the lifeless body of Sue Storm like she was a rag doll. The first Fantastic Four comic I ever read was FF #125, which was Part 2 of this classic and very memorable two-part storyline. I remember reading the FF 125 comic like it was yesterday, but I had no way as an 11 year old to find this prior issue #124, until many years later. Buscema/Sinnott was an art collaboration made in heaven as evidenced by this stunning page.
