March 1971, Batman #230, Page #15, End Page, Irv Novick pencils/Dick Giordano inks, "Take-Over of Paradise!", Batman vs: the Brave Barons!, wow-talk about history and nostalgia - I love this page! (This story was probably sniped or modeled after "The Guardian Angels" that was a volunteer organization which patrolled the streets of NY in the 70s and trying to help the police deal with rampant crime - they wore red berets) (in fact, the guy with the glasses looks a lot like "Curtis Sliwa" who was the leader of the organization) ps: This comic came out in 1971, which coincides with the year that The Guardian Angels were recognized nationally by Richard Nixon in their quest for violence prevention)
